Street Team Business~

Hey all~!  I have a quick update here for you.  If anyone actually read my about page (haha) they would already know I’m part of a street team for a newer author that I really respect.  Her name is Stephanie Thomas and she wrote a book called Luminosity. I can’t explain how much I love this book and I was so incredibly excited when I was chosen to join her street team and be able to talk her stuff up, help her out and be able to chat with a published author.  It’s been really inspiring, especially as one day I want to be published myself.  If you haven’t already read her book, I highly recommend it.  It blew me away.  Plus the sequel is coming out very soon.  I’m super excited for it.

So here’s the news.  Since her sequel release date is approaching she’s showing off some sneak previews of the cover and having a swag giveaway.  Please check it out and give her support~!

“For a little while we were indeed immortal, and forever stretched out before us.”

I received an ARC of: Long Live the Queen via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I feel like this book went by so fast. I really enjoyed it. It had a nice feeling of completion that tied up a lot of loose ends. The conclusion to this fabulous series was another wild ride that was well worth it. Continue reading

“Cry me a fucking ocean.”

I feel like I should have read this a long time ago. I loved the first installment and was itching for the next one, bought it, and let it sit on my shelf forever. Super lame of me. Especially considering I loved the second installment just as much as the first. Continue reading

Beyond: Two Souls — Game Review

Beyond: Two Souls  — From Studio Quantic Dream

Beyond: Two Souls.  Part of me isn’t sure where to begin.  I suppose the first thing I can say is OMG THIS GAME WAS SO INCREDIBLY FREAKING AMAZING.  *cough*  Alright, now that I’ve gotten that out of the way, I can quit spazzing.  I can start off with that Heavy Rain — from the same studio — to me was a new experience.  So as soon as I knew it had the same game mechanics, I was online pre-ordering my copy (Collector’s Edition of course~).   After finishing the game, I wished it wasn’t over.  I played this game with my brother and that’s probably why I ever let go of the controller.  Work is for other people.  Seriously though, it’s the kind of game that grabs hold of you, and won’t let go.  It’s gripping, dramatic, heart-wrenching, romantic, terrifying, so many elements wrapped inside one game that was just so incredible that I already want to start it over and play again. “Nina crossed her arms over a T-shirt that read, OFF IS THE GENERAL DIRECTION IN WHICH I WISH YOU WOULD FUCK, and nodded.”

WARNING: This one has a spoiler or two.

I usually really enjoy a Dakota Cassidy novel; and while I’m most unhappy that I accidentally completely deleted my review, I’m more upset that I have to rewrite because I didn’t really like this novel all that well. Continue reading
