“But even though I was not looking for him so determinedly, I failed to come across him anywhere.”

I quite enjoyed Daughter of Flames. It was very easy to read and I devoured it in a few short hours. I liked the whole book, it had a very nice flow and I was never bored or rushed. I greatly enjoyed specific scenes (the first fight and the wedding especially) and I enjoyed the characters. I mean I totally want a wedding like that. Seriously. Continue reading

White Star — Book Review

White Star (Epic of Palins #2) by Elizabeth Vaughnwhite_star

I had the strangest feeling I had read this before the whole time I was reading. Which is quite likely. Oh well. Either way I was less than impressed.

This is probably one of the worst cases of insta-love I’ve ever had the displeasure of reading. They meet in her cell. He moves her to a tower. He brings her food…once. He kisses her the next time and she’s somehow ok with that. He frees her and becomes the prisoner instead. She brings him food…once. He is about to be executed and she saves him and helps him leave. Then she is banished to a temple, rescued by him and BAM–she’s telling him she loves him. Just barely at 50% through. You have GOT to be kidding me. She sees him all of FIVE TIMES for probably less than 20 minutes and they’re in love? Really? Continue reading

“Heroes are often the quietest people in a room, the ones least willing to lay claim to the title.”

Ah. Nalini Singh. I freaking adore everything you write. Ever. Yet another incredible book to add to my favorite series. Shield of Winter was heart-wrenching, beautiful, action-packed, smouldering and sensual. Everything I expect from a Psy-Changeling novel and so much more. It was difficult to get out of my hands to do human things. Like eat. Continue reading

“Unfortunately, my visions don’t come loaded with GPS.”

I found myself in need of a book while I was waiting for my Nalini Singh book to arrive in the mail. I’ve seen this book just staring at me for a while now on my kindle and decided to knock it out. Becoming Alpha was very fun. I tore through this book. It would have been one sitting but my boyfriend was all “Let’s go see a movie”. So I had to finish it this morning. Continue reading

“I am thinking of dropping him, regardless of his begging, and leaving him to fall and fall and fall until there’s nowhere else for him to go.”

First of all I’d like to apologize to Stephanie for taking so long for me read and review. I feel like a terrible member of your street team since you sent this to me a while ago. I’ll blame myself for suckage. Anyway on to the review~!

I have received an ARC copy of this novella in exchange for an honest review.  As some of you guys know I’m part of the street team for Stephanie Thomas so it’s super lame that it took me this long to review. Continue reading

“You live in a single moment. I live in a thousand.”

Disappointing. Just as I knew it would be. I almost wish I had just stopped after the first book, let my imagination run free instead of actually reading my heart get crushed inside my chest. Everything I assumed would happen (that I dreaded happening mind you), of course happened. Continue reading
